First images from the James Webb telescope

Back in February, I talked with Danny Hoyland about the James Webb Space Telescope having parked in its final position.

The telescope’s first full-colour images and spectroscopic data were released on 12 July and they are simply spectacular. They are so detailed and colourful they somehow don’t seem real.

There has been much analysis and explanation of the image and this among the best I’ve seen.
